The Paramedic Association of Manitoba is a proud member of the Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety (MIPS).

MIPS is committed to helping healthcare organizations and healthcare providers learn about leading practices to improve patient safety. Our partnership with MIPS aligns with the Association’s strategic plan that includes promotion of evidence based education to support both patient safety and ongoing professional growth.

 

Paramedic Association of Canada  


The Paramedic Association of Manitoba is a proud chapter of the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC).

Founded in 1988 as the Canadian Society of Ambulance Personnel (CSAP), PAC is the national voice of paramedicine supporting over 20,000 paramedic practitioners across Canada in providing high quality health care to patients. Members of the Paramedic Association of Manitoba are also PAC members, and as such are entitled to all PAC member benefits.

 

Manitoba Paramedic Honour Guard (MPHG)  


The Paramedic Association of Manitoba proudly supports the Manitoba Paramedic Honour Guard (MPHG) in their mission to elevate the image and public awareness of Manitoba’s paramedics.

The MPHG was formed in 2008 with membership from across Manitoba, representing Manitoba paramedics at Line of Duty Death memorials and funerals, formal public events and celebrations, and recreational, social and benevolent events.

 

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)  


The Paramedic Association of Manitoba is pleased to work closely with The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) - Manitoba and Winnipeg, part of a nation-wide organization that promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness.

Charitable proceeds from the sale of paramedic licence plates, a Manitoba Public Insurance specialty licence plate series administered by PAM, are earmarked for donation to CMHA for development of resources and programs supporting paramedic mental health.

 

Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC)  


The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) leads the development and dissemination of innovative programs and tools to support the mental health and wellness of Canadians.

In keeping with our strategic goal of promoting the paramedic profession with a particular focus on member well-being, the Paramedic Association of Manitoba is a licenced provider of the MHCC Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) mental health education program for paramedics.
